The Skew Roll Shot Blasting Machine operates by propelling abrasive media (steel shots, grit, or cut wire) at high velocity onto the surface of rotating workpieces. Its unique design features skewed rolls (inclined rotating rollers) that hold and spin cylindrical components during blasting, ensuring 360° coverage. Key stages include:
Loading: Workpieces are manually or automatically placed onto the skewed rolls.
Rotation: The rolls rotate at adjustable speeds (10–30 RPM), spinning the workpiece uniformly.
Blasting: High-speed turbines (2,000–4,500 RPM) eject abrasives through controlled nozzles, removing rust, scale, or contaminants.
Recovery: A conveyor system collects and recycles used abrasives, while dust extraction units filter particulates.
