Bag Type Dust Collector

Filter Bags: Cylindrical fabric bags that act as the primary filtering medium.
Housing: The enclosure that contains the filter bags and other components.
Inlet and Outlet: Openings for the contaminated air to enter and the cleaned air to exit.
Cage: A metal framework inside each filter bag that prevents it from collapsing and helps maintain its shape.
Cleaning System: Mechanism to periodically remove the dust cake from the filter bags, typically through shaking, reverse air, or pulse-jet cleaning.
Dust Hopper: A collection bin at the bottom of the baghouse where the dislodged dust is collected.

Contaminated Air Inflow: Dust-laden air enters the baghouse through the inlet.
Filtration: The air passes through the filter bags. Dust particles are trapped on the surface of the bags, while the cleaned air passes through and exits the baghouse.
Dust Cake Formation: Over time, a layer of dust, known as a dust cake, builds up on the surface of the filter bags. This dust cake actually improves the filtration efficiency.
Cleaning: The cleaning system periodically removes the dust cake from the filter bags. The type of cleaning system used varies:
Shaking: The bags are mechanically shaken to dislodge the dust.
Reverse Air: Air flows in the reverse direction to blow the dust off the bags.
Pulse-Jet: A high-pressure burst of air is directed into the filter bags to dislodge the dust.
Dust Collection: The dislodged dust falls into the dust hopper and is then removed for disposal or recycling.

Metalworking: Captures dust from grinding, cutting, and polishing operations.
Woodworking: Removes sawdust and wood particles from air streams in sawmills and furniture manufacturing.
